In 2014, a landmark opportunity came along.
The iconic corner of Broadway and Columbia in Seaside became available—and David and Britnie Posalski knew it was something special.
Together with their brother-in-law and sister-in-law, they set out to create something new: a seafood restaurant that captured the spirit of the coast while welcoming everyone who walked through the door.
Not just seafood lovers.
Everyone.
They designed The Crabby Oyster to have a fun, relaxed beach vibe paired with a menu diverse enough for the whole family—from fresh seafood to crowd-pleasing favorites.
When the doors opened in May 2014, it was the start of another journey filled with challenges, growth, change, and family. Through ups and downs—and even shifts in ownership along the way—The Crabby Oyster continued to evolve.
Today, it stands as one of Seaside’s premier seafood destinations.
